French Championship (Individual) of BOWLING at the MAILLET

This competition, placed under the authority of the National Mallet Bowling Committee , will converge on Perchède 150 players selected from among the 350 licensees and 10 young people for the title of French mallet bowling champion.

Free admission. Be there to encourage the participants in this French championship.

The games of bowling and bowling go back to the earliest times. We find traces of it in ancient Egypt.

In France, it was in the 14th century that we began to practice bowling.

In America, the game of 9 pins swept the country and was quickly banned. To get around the law, we added a pin and the 10 pins arranged in a triangle gave bowling.

In France, gambling developed a lot in Gascony and particularly in the country of Armagnac and the Landes. But the stakes and the subsequent ruins once again prompted the authorities to ban the practice.

It was not until 1972 and the initiative of the Departmental Federation of Rural Homes of Gers that the game of bowling was relaunched.
